The first round of the championship started with the symbolic first love of  The Governor of Kayseri, Mevlut Bilici.
The championship is played one game a day in 6 age categories, as girls and open groups. First round had a very exciting atmosphere. The parents experienced this excitement, watching the games from the public gallery. Many journalists made interviews with foreign and local participants. They learned their thoughts about the championship and chess.

The U17 open category staged the struggle of Ege İlkin Okay versus Engin Topak, who won the third place in the last Turkish Championship. The game ended with draw. The U17 girls category is played with round robin system. One of the interesting games was between Suna Sanal and Selen Sop. Sanal managed to win the game with strong play. There weren't any other surprise results in other categories.
